Summary

In this article, we will go through the steps needed when replacing a Samsara device.

If there are issues with your Samsara device and you believe it needs to be replaced, contact Samsara Support by going to Settings (lower left corner gear icon) → Gateways → Find the new Gateway → Click the three dots on the left → Request Support

In your Support ticket, include the information below:

  • Company Name:

  • Samsara Device Type: ie. IG41, Array Antenna, etc.

  • Serial Number: exception for antennas

  • Reason for the replacement: input as much detail as possible on the issue, what you did to troubleshoot, where it is installed, etc. Pictures and videos encouraged.

Once your device arrives, follow the steps below to replace your device in the Samsara Cloud:

Replace a Samsara Gateway

  1. Activate the new Gateway: Activate Device(s) in the Cloud

  2. Go to Settings → Gateways → Find the new Gateway → Click the three dots on the left → Pair Gateway

  3. Link to the Old device so you do not need to update/edit I/O on the new gateway, it will transparently carry over
