After you Configure your IO on the Gateway Channels (learn how here: Configure Analog and Digital IO), you can now create the data outputs. We will walk through those steps in this article.
Create Data Outputs
Once the input channel is configured, you need to make data inputs for use in the dashboard. Navigate to Settings > Data Outputs > +Configure New Data Input
Create Data Outputs for Digital IO
Choose the Output Type as Digital Output and select the Gateway and Digital Channel that you configured previously.
After the Data Output is set up, you can then reference them in your Dashboards (Learn how to set up Dashboards here: Set up Dashboards)or within a Control Program (Learn how to set up Control here: Set up Control ).
Example of Digital I/O Output
Create Data Outputs for Analog IO
Choose the Output Type as Analog Output and select the Gateway and Digital Channel that you configured previously.
Control Value Mapping: This allows users to preconfigure values for output. This is utilized on the dashboard by using the “Button” Widget. Each configured value will then be selectable from the dashboard.
Example: For Valve positions we could configure the value 0 as “Close” and the value 10 as “Open.” The user would then be able to select Close or Open rather than 0 or 10
Analog Channel: This will be the Analog Output of choice on the gateway.
