Summary

Alerts allow you to receive notifications via email or SMS messages when specific events occur within your organization. In this article, we will go through the basic steps of setting up alerts. You can create Connection, Motion Dection, or Person Detection alerts.

How to View Alert Incidents

  1. Select the Alerts button (bell icon) in the bottom lefthand corner of your Samsara Dashboard. 

  2. On the Alerts page, you will automatically be under the Incidents tab, from here, you can view current alerts. To view past alerts, use the Calendar Tool in the top right corner, select a date or date range to view past alerts from those selected. 


How to Create and Edit Alerts

  • From the Alerts page, you can set up new alerts and edit alerts under the Configure tab.

  • Once you select which Alert you want to configure you will have the option of selecting which Cameras and/or Area Of Interest the alert will apply to.

  • When configuring an alert, you can designate times and days of the week to Enable or Disable notifications under the Schedule section.

  • You can also add contacts under the Sent Contact Notifications section that notifications will be sent to in the event that the alert is triggered.
