Definition of a Line: A line is where we will be producing the products & tracking the stats. For each line, we’ll assign:
Shift Schedule - Shift schedule must be assigned to view OEE and downtime statistics.
Downtime Reason Set - Choose the set list of downtime reasons that apply to this line.
Availability Data Input - Running status indicator that tells whether line is running or not. Availability score is the % time this data input is running compared to its expected runtime.
Performance Data Input - Count the products you are producing on the line. The total product count will be the sum of these data inputs & your performance is the rate of production for a given product compared against the target rate of production for that product
Quality (Scrap) Data Input - Counts the amount of bad or unusable products on the line, aka scrap. It is subtracted from your product count to get your Quality.
Diagnostic Data Inputs - Other pieces of data that you’d like to track about your line to help diagnose downtime reasons.
Downtime Buffer (seconds) - Minimum duration of time before a period of poor running status is considered downtime. For example, if set to 60 seconds, any detected downtime less than 60 seconds will not be included in calculations and displays.
Depending on your manufacturing process you might want a buffer between your Running Status Data Input and when you start classifying an event as Downtime.
