Our dashboards and reports are ready to visualize data from the Gateway as soon it’s collected from your equipment, without additional development work. Data is presented in trendlines and in one-second intervals for further analysis, so you can get a deep understanding of equipment performance over time and enable more effective remote troubleshooting. Additionally, alarms can be set up for any data point pulled in by our gateways–allowing you to keep a finger on the pulse of your most critical parameters. All of this is optimized for mobile devices, giving your team the ability to easily use each tool in their existing workflows.

Prevent downtime with remote troubleshooting

Many of our customers use Samsara to enable remote troubleshooting for their technicians and operators and prevent equipment downtime. Alerts can be set up for any important equipment parameters and delivered to technicians the second an issue arises. From here, historical trending data provides context to better understand what caused the issue. If it’s a potentially dangerous situation, you can remotely shut down equipment as well. This reduces truck rolls and helps speed time to resolution so that issues can be handled before they escalate to downtime.

Optimize Dispatch

For our customers servicing remote equipment or refueling mobile equipment, truck rolls are one of the most significant costs in keeping their operations running. Samsara allows you to track and alert on real-time parameters like pressures or fuel levels in dashboards. These data points can then be used to time dispatch–ensuring that service trucks are sent out at the right time. This data can even be fed into maintenance work order systems via our open API ensuring a seamless experience for every user.

Build preventative maintenance schedules 

For more advanced customers, Samsara can provide the data needed to build more effective preventative maintenance schedules. Depending on the complexity of your equipment, you can analyze historical trending data across just a few or hundreds of parameters, right in Samsara dashboards. Using this data, you can begin to understand exactly what an impending failure looks like. For example, following the failure of a specific component, you could refer back to the number of run cycles since that component was last replaced, giving you an understanding of the average number of days before the next failure. 

Our calculations feature also allows you to automatically take each of these data points and calculate health and efficiency scores (e.g. pump efficiency) in real-time, so you can understand when a piece of equipment is underperforming and due for a replacement or a repair, all via a simple alert or glance at a dashboard.
